Overview
- Zimbabwe Cricket named a 15-member T20I squad captained by Sikandar Raza for a three-match series at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo on July 15, 17 and 19.
- Newman Nyamhuri and Milton Shumba were recalled to the squad and Ben Curran retained his spot, with Nyamhuri and Curran both in line to make T20I debuts.
- Leg-spinner Graeme Cremer was ruled out with a left-arm fracture and veteran Brendan Taylor and Tony Munyonga were omitted from the World Cup squad.
- Convener of selectors David Mutendera said continuity was the main selection principle so the side can build on its unbeaten first-round run and Super Eight appearance at the 2026 T20 World Cup.
- The picks reward recent form — Nyamhuri took six wickets in the one-off Test against Bangladesh and Shumba led Zimbabwe’s domestic T20 scoring — and give younger players a chance to strengthen squad depth before larger tournaments.
