Zimbabwe defeated Bangladesh by an innings and 85 runs at Harare Sports Club, which happened Tuesday after the hosts bowled Bangladesh out for 140 following an eight-wicket collapse.
Innocent Kaia scored 140 as Zimbabwe posted 410, while Bangladesh’s Taijul Islam took 7-138 and Newman Nyamhuri finished with four wickets to shape the result.
Captain Richard Ngarava praised a deeper player pool and said the side will turn its focus to the short white-ball series that begins in early July.
The win completes back-to-back Test victories for Zimbabwe for the first time since 2001 and is only the third occasion the country has recorded consecutive Test wins.
