Ziggo to Add All ESPN Channels to Base TV Packages, Raising Monthly Price by €2.50

The move trades broader access to Dutch football for a higher monthly bill.

Overview

  • Ziggo will make ESPN’s four sports channels part of every digital TV package instead of a separate add-on.
  • The change raises the TV subscription price by €2.50 per month for all customers, including those who do not watch sports.
  • Customers still within 12- or 24-month contracts will receive ESPN at no extra cost until their current term ends.
  • Current ESPN Compleet subscribers will move to ESPN Premium with an €8 monthly discount, Ultra-HD channels, and streaming via Ziggo GO and the ESPN Watch app.
  • Because ESPN holds rights to the Eredivisie, the national cup, the second tier, the women’s league, and youth national teams, more viewers will be able to watch Dutch football without a separate sports subscription.
