Overview
- ZA/UM announced Thursday that ZERO PARADES: Director’s Cut will launch on PlayStation 5 on November 3 and that a free Director’s Cut update will come to PC, with reporting disagreeing on whether the PC rollout is October 1 or November 3.
- The Director’s Cut adds about 40,000 words of new material, including a new dramatic encounter set on the Quisach Roundabout that expands player interactions and dialogue.
- A new Backstage Mode lets players move through earlier level iterations, see cut content and hear development commentary narrated by art director Kaspar Tamsalu.
- The update completes English voice-over work, improves inventory sorting and grouping, adds new outfits and NPC interactions, and adds support for 21:9 and 32:9 ultrawide displays.
- The release follows ZA/UM’s May PC launch and recent company downsizing tied to Zero Parades’ commercial performance, a step that could increase pressure on the update to boost sales and player engagement.
