Overview
- Prosecutors told Judge Linda Black on Friday they will retry Andres Barrientos, known as Yung Filly, on three counts of sexual penetration without consent after a jury failed to reach majority verdicts on those charges.
- An eight-day July trial resulted in mixed outcomes: the jury found him guilty of two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm for biting the complainant, acquitted him of several other charges, and could not agree on three rape counts.
- Prosecutor Danielle Clarke said the complainant, who was 20 at the time of the alleged September 2024 incident, is willing to give evidence again at a retrial.
