Overview
- YouTube confirmed a zero-minute Shorts feed limit is live for parents and rolling out to all users on Android and iOS.
- Setting the limit hides the Shorts tab and often clears Shorts from the Home feed, replacing them with a notice that the feed is paused.
- The control is not a full shutoff, since Shorts can still appear in Subscriptions or search and can open from shared links.
- Users can turn it on in the YouTube app under Settings, then Time management, then Shorts feed limit, where selecting 0 minutes stops the feed instantly.
- The update extends an October timer that previously bottomed out at 15 minutes and follows January’s parental-controls expansion as part of YouTube’s digital wellbeing tools.
