Overview
- YouTube now lets eligible U.S. creators tag Amazon products directly in shorts, long-form videos, and livestreams so creators can earn affiliate commissions from purchases.
- Creators must be enrolled in YouTube’s Partner Program and Shopping Affiliate Program and link an active Amazon Influencer or Associates account to enable tagging on their channels.
- Amazon supplies a curated catalog of high-demand products and YouTube offers an optional auto-tagging feature that scans recent uploads to identify items creators can tag.
- Creators will see only aggregated daily earnings in YouTube Studio, will not get product- or video-level commission breakdowns, and commissions will be deducted for returned items.
- Tags from U.S. creators are visible worldwide and YouTube may match a tagged item to a local merchant or else route viewers to Amazon U.S., and the change replaces the need to paste manual Associates links into descriptions.
