- York Crown Court jailed Eid Anwar Fathi Najjar for eight years for rape and sexual assault, with the judge saying no reasonable person could think the victim could consent.
- Prosecutors said he led the woman from Vudu, sexually assaulted her in the street and raped her in Shambles Market before returning to the venue alone.
- Door staff at Vudu and Bobos warned him to stay away because of her condition, and two members of the public later found her distressed and partially undressed.
