Overview
- Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Prashikshan Maha Abhiyan-2026 in Gorakhpur and described it as an ideological and organisational training programme for BJP workers.
- He linked the BJP to the Bharatiya Jana Sangh and to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, urged principles such as 'Nation before Party' and 'Society before Self', and said Antyodaya must guide policy.
- Yogi listed a series of welfare claims attributed to the Modi government, saying more than 12 crore toilets were built, about 4 crore homes were provided, 50 crore people benefit from Ayushman Bharat, 80 crore receive free rations, and 25 crore have been lifted out of poverty.
- The chief minister credited Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Narendra Modi with providing political stability and said India’s response to cross-border terrorism changed after 2014, claiming terrorism in Kashmir had been crushed and northeastern insurgency largely ended.
- The visit combined high-level messaging with local outreach through a development exhibition, public grievance redressal at Janta Darshan and a gaushala visit as the two-day campaign proceeds to train and mobilise party workers.
