Ye Adds San Antonio July 4 Show and Two Soldier Field Dates in Chicago

The new U.S. dates extend a stadium-heavy tour that uses preregistration to manage ticket access while political leaders and European authorities press back over his past antisemitic remarks.

Overview

  • Ye’s official tour site listed a July 4 concert at the Alamodome in San Antonio and Sept. 3–4 dates at Soldier Field in Chicago, with tickets not yet on general sale and preregistration required for purchase.
  • The tour’s registration system at tour.yeezy.com can select some preregistered fans for free tickets and is being used to reduce chaotic box-office scenes and vet attendees before sales.
  • The added U.S. shows follow strong domestic demand and high grosses at recent stadium stops such as SoFi, which prompted added dates in Tampa earlier this summer.
  • Political and public-safety pushback continues to shape the rollout, with Florida Sen. Rick Scott urging no public funds for Tampa performances and several European cities canceling or blocking Ye’s concerts over safety and hate-speech concerns.
  • Ye published a Wall Street Journal apology this year attributing past comments to an undiagnosed brain injury and mental-health struggles, and he is promoting his album Bully as the tour proceeds, a development that could keep venue policies and funding fights in focus.
