Overview
- Xiaomi started the global stable rollout, which began on November 3, 2026, and will deliver HyperOS 4 in three waves running through December.
- The first wave pushes Android 17-based HyperOS 4 to recent flagships and select POCO and Redmi models including the Xiaomi 17 and 15 lines plus the Xiaomi Pad 8 series.
- HyperOS 4 brings a major visual redesign called Soft Light Glass with expanded lockscreen styling, stacked widgets, flexible folders, improved floating windows, and new orientation handling on tablets.
- The update embeds expanded on-device AI—Super XiaoAi 2.0 backed by Xiaomi’s MiMo model—for tasks such as photo search, schedule organization, smart home control, and on-screen product ID while some AI features may be limited by model or region.
- Xiaomi says the build improves performance through background AI tuning, citing app-launch and camera-speed gains, and warns availability will be staggered by region so users should check settings manually and expect early bugs on some devices.
