Xbox February Update Rolls Out Up To 1440p Cloud Streaming on Consoles

The release centers on sharper cloud play for Ultimate members, signaling steady polish across the Xbox PC app plus ROG Ally.

Overview

  • Up to 1440p, higher-bitrate Xbox Cloud Gaming is beginning to roll out on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One X, and Xbox One S for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members.
  • The console upgrade joins existing support on the Xbox PC app, supported web browsers, select Fire TV devices, and LG and Samsung TVs.
  • ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X receive removable storage formatting in the Xbox app for installing and running games on microSD, plus a new Advanced Shader Delivery indicator on supported titles.
  • The Xbox PC app adds optional controller navigation sounds that users can enable and adjust in Settings > Audio.
