Overview
- Xbox and Ubisoft announced the program on July 27 and it is live for new digital purchases, with existing Xbox digital owners receiving PC entitlements during a progressive rollout through August 4.
- Thirteen specific titles are eligible, including Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Far Cry 6, Rainbow Six Siege, Watch Dogs Legion and The Crew Motorfest, and owners must update Ubisoft Connect to claim their PC copies.
- The offer is strictly one-way so owning the PC version does not grant an Xbox copy, and physical-disc owners are not eligible for the free PC entitlement.
- Most paid editions and non-consumable DLC will transfer to the PC versions but in-game currencies and one-time consumables are excluded and cross-progression works only where games already support it through Ubisoft Connect.
- Reporters and players note a major limitation: PC copies delivered through Ubisoft Connect generally do not provide Xbox Play Anywhere features such as Xbox achievements, cloud save sync, or native Xbox app integration, which may affect how smoothly play moves between platforms.
