- WVV placed all households in Würzburg and the neighboring municipality of Gerbrunn under a precautionary boil-water advisory after Enterococci were found during a routine test.
- The bacteria were detected in a pumping station, and WVV said it is taking follow-up samples across its supply area as part of an active investigation.
- Residents are instructed to bring tap water to a rolling boil and let it cool slowly for at least ten minutes before using it for drinking, cooking, washing produce, toothbrushing, wound care or nasal rinses.
