Wrong-Way Santa Monica Hit-and-Run Kills 2, Injures 2 as Driver Is Sought

Police classified the crash as a felony hit-and-run, releasing a description of the driver who fled.

  • The suspect fled on foot; police described him as a Black male about 6 feet tall last seen in a red hat, black sweater and black shoes.
  • SMPD’s Major Accident Response Team is leading the investigation, with two victims pronounced dead at the scene and two hospitalized and expected to survive.
