Overview
- Fort Worth police say a Jeep drove east in the westbound lanes of State Highway 121 shortly after 1:20 a.m. on Tuesday and first struck a vehicle with three occupants before colliding head-on with a four-door sedan.
- The Jeep driver died at the scene and two adult female passengers in the sedan were also pronounced dead at the scene; the Tarrant County Medical Examiner will complete identifications.
- The sedan's adult male driver and a child passenger, reported to be about 10 or 11 years old, were taken to local hospitals and are expected to survive.
- The Fort Worth Police Department’s Traffic Investigation Unit remains on scene reconstructing the sequence of collisions and has asked anyone with video or information to call 817-392-4222.
- The crash closed lanes on SH-121 for several hours and investigators say the early-morning timing is notable because wrong-way and impaired-driving incidents are more likely at that hour.
