- WTT released an official schedule and initial rosters on Sept. 9 for a six-match season running Dec. 1–15 across Barclays Center in Brooklyn, Coca‑Cola Coliseum in Toronto and Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Fla.
- Three clubs were named as core teams: New York Empire (Jessica Pegula, Frances Tiafoe, Taylor Fritz, Camila Osorio), Toronto North (Victoria Mboko, Leylah Fernandez, Denis Shapovalov, Gabriel Diallo) and Florida Flamingos (Tommy Paul, Learner Tien, Iva Jovic).
- Matches will use a new short format to shorten play and balance contributions by men and women: teams start two men and two women, play four singles sets (men’s and women’s No. 1 and No. 2), employ no-ad scoring, and decide ties with a mixed-doubles super tiebreak.
- WTT struck a media deal with USA Sports/Versant that will air all six matches in primetime on CNBC and stream them free on Fandango, and the league said tickets go on sale Sept. 15 at 10 a.m. ET on WTT.com.
- Owner and CEO Stephen Amritraj, who bought WTT’s intellectual property in 2024, moved the season to December, cut the schedule to six matches to fit player calendars, and is offering win bonuses plus potential equity to align player incentives and attract top singles talent.
