- UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and Dubai Ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid welcomed delegates, stressing partnership, diplomatic dialogue, peace efforts and renewed collective action.
- The programme features 445+ sessions across five themes spanning global governance, societal wellbeing, strategic investment, urban futures and emerging frontiers.
- WGS 2026 includes 25 global forums and 45+ ministerial or high-level meetings—ranging from Arab finance and youth ministerials to an IMF-linked AI preparedness session—and will issue 36 strategic reports alongside awards presented with PwC, EY, UN-Habitat and the Varkey Foundation.
