- ISLAM’s Sheikh Nasreen Khalid was elected mayor and the Samajwadi Party’s Shaan-e-Hind Nihal Ahmed won the deputy mayor post in Malegaon.
- Both secured 43 votes drawn from 35 ISLAM corporators, five from the SP, and three from the Congress, defeating Shiv Sena nominees who polled 18 each.
- AIMIM and the BJP did not participate in the vote, leaving the second-largest party in the house out of the new civic leadership.
