Overview
- The head-on collision between an orange Peugeot 107 and a black Vauxhall Astra occurred on the B4696 between Brinkworth Road and Lydiard Plain on Tuesday, June 30, and the Peugeot driver, a woman in her 70s, was declared dead at the scene.
- The Vauxhall driver, a 43-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries and has been arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving and causing death by driving while unfit through drink or drugs; he will be questioned when medically fit.
