Prosecutors say she admitted to the stabbing after he brought chicken to cook at her apartment.

Overview

  • Police in the Village of Lac La Belle said they found 25-year-old Lukas Rosch with a chest wound Friday night at his girlfriend’s apartment, and he died at a hospital.
  • Investigators say 27-year-old Mikayla Kloth told them she stabbed Rosch during an argument over going out to eat versus cooking the chicken drumsticks he brought to use in an air fryer.
  • The criminal complaint quotes Kloth telling officers, “No, I did stab him,” and later saying she “should have just gone to the bar.”
  • Kloth is charged with first-degree intentional homicide, is held on a $2 million cash bond set by a court commissioner, and faces life in prison if convicted.
  • According to the complaint, a week before the killing Rosch told others Kloth had bitten his thumb and the landlord said he seemed afraid.
