Overview
- Wipro, which announced the agreement Monday, will acquire Mindsprint and run an eight-year transformation program for Olam that Wipro says will exceed $1 billion in value.
- Olam committed about $100 million a year for the engagement, which tasks Wipro with an AI-led overhaul across farming, manufacturing, supply chain operations, and customer engagement.
- Mindsprint will become a wholly owned Wipro subsidiary, with CEO Suresh Sundararajan staying on to lead a 3,200-person team across India, Singapore, the US, the UK, and the Middle East.
- The deal is slated to close by June 30, 2026, subject to customary adjustments and antitrust approvals that include reviews in Saudi Arabia and Australia.
- Wipro shares rose up to about 3% after the news, while Olam framed the sale as part of a reorganisation to monetise non-core assets, and analysts said the transaction improves Wipro’s revenue visibility.
