Wicker Park Photo Booth Studio ‘The Strip Club’ Opens Friday With 11 Machines
The founders aim to preserve scarce analog booths by creating a playful, all-ages alternative to bar-based photo ops.
Overview
- The Strip Club opens Feb. 6 at 1702 N. Damen Ave. in a 2,000-square-foot storefront in the former Bellows Film Lab space.
- Visitors can choose from eleven booths—a mix of six vintage‑inspired digital units and five analog machines—with some analog models dating to the 1940s and 1950s.
- Each photo strip initially costs $7, entry is free, and every booth accepts credit cards.
- Hours are noon–9 p.m. Tuesday–Thursday, noon–10 p.m. Friday–Saturday, and noon–9 p.m. Sunday, with a grand opening day running noon–10 p.m.
- Owners Anthony and Andrea Vizzari of A&A Studios built the concept on nearly two decades of restoring and manufacturing booths, expanding from placements in venues like Schubas, Emporium and the Empty Bottle to a family- and pet-friendly destination with events such as Valentine’s promotions.
