White Circle Raises $11 Million to Police Enterprise AI in Real Time

The Paris startup pitches a control layer for enterprises to enforce their own AI rules in production.

Overview

  • White Circle, which announced the seed round Tuesday, raised $11 million from leaders at OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepMind, Hugging Face, Mistral, Datadog, and Sentry.
  • The company plans to use the capital to hire, speed product work, and grow its customer base across the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe.
  • Its platform sits between users and AI models to check prompts and responses in real time under company policies, blocking harmful content and catching issues like hallucinations, data leaks, and unauthorized actions.
  • White Circle says it has processed more than one billion API requests and serves customers including Lovable and two large digital banks, and it reports SOC 2 Type I and II certifications and HIPAA compliance.
  • Founder Denis Shilov launched the firm after his 2024 “universal jailbreak,” and in May the team published KillBench, a million‑plus‑trial study that found decision bias across about 15 models, reinforcing the case for production‑level controls.
