Overview
- WhatsApp announced the trio of group-chat updates on Tuesday, August 4, and said the features are rolling out now to iPhone and Android users.
- Polls can now include an end time that locks voting, hide voter names so results stay anonymous even to the poll creator, and be edited for up to 15 minutes after posting.
- The new @all mention alerts every member of a group at once and will bypass muted chats, but WhatsApp restricts @all to admins in groups larger than 32 and lets users mute @all notifications in settings.
- A “Create a similar group” option lets anyone spin off a new group pre-filled with members from an existing chat in a single tap to move side conversations out of busy threads.
