Overview
- The TSSA will stage walkouts on Friday, July 31 and Saturday, August 1, and West Midlands Railway and London Northwestern Railway say a significantly reduced service will operate on both days.
- Several routes will be fully cancelled on the strike dates, including all services via Birmingham Snow Hill, the Camp Hill Line, Nuneaton–Leamington Spa, Birmingham New Street–Hereford and Birmingham New Street–Shrewsbury, plus the Marston Vale Line on July 31.
- Operators have published detailed reduced timetables that stop all services after 7pm on Friday, July 31 and set limited frequencies on other routes such as four trains per hour on the Cross City Line and two trains per hour between Wolverhampton and Walsall.
- Passengers holding tickets dated July 31 or August 1 can get a full refund from their place of purchase or use those tickets on alternative West Midlands Railway and London Northwestern Railway services between July 29 and August 3.
- Separate engineering works on Sunday, July 26 will cut Shrewsbury–Birmingham services until 7pm with rail-replacement buses between Telford Central and Wolverhampton, and operators warn some disruption may persist on the morning of Sunday, August 2 as trains could be out of position after the strike.
