- Its flagship Wesley Leaders program is a selective, 24-month mentorship accelerator that pairs fellows with a primary mentor and a mentor circle to build skills for nonprofit board service and community leadership.
- A companion set of TeamWesley activities will run community conversations, service projects, and educational events across New York as the foundation begins recruiting fellows and mentors.
- The launch coincides with the one-year commemoration of the July 28, 2025 Midtown shooting that killed Wesley LePatner and others and follows other memorial initiatives honoring the victims.
- The foundation aims to address a shrinking pipeline of volunteer and board leaders by leveraging LePatner’s Blackstone career and Jewish communal ties to attract partners and scale a network of 1,000 leaders nationwide.
