WattEV Orders 370 Tesla Semis in California’s Largest Electric Truck Deployment

The fleet-scale deal signals early commercial validation for Tesla’s new Nevada-built Semi.

Overview

  • WattEV announced the 370-truck purchase Tuesday at the ACT Expo in Las Vegas.
  • More than 300 trucks will run in a joint program with the Port of Oakland to electrify drayage and regional routes.
  • Deliveries start with 50 trucks in 2026, with the entire fleet targeted to be in service by the end of 2027.
  • WattEV is building megawatt-class charging hubs in Oakland, Fresno, Stockton, and Sacramento that can add about 300 miles of range in roughly 30 minutes.
  • The order follows the first Semi off Tesla’s high-volume Nevada line last week, indicating demand as production ramps.
