- A Nov. 21 audit of five EsSalud hospitals in Lima and Callao logged 20 adverse findings in emergency care, including observation stays exceeding 12 hours for most patients at several sites.
- By Feb. 5 none of the deficiencies had been corrected, according to the Comptroller, which said it will continue follow-up to ensure implementation of recommendations.
- Hospitals lacked 54 required biomedical devices, with the largest gaps at Alberto Sabogal Sologuren (18), Edgardo Rebagliati Martins (13) and Suárez Angamos (10).
- Four hospitals reported medicine and device shortages, including 217 pharmaceutical products below the two‑month minimum at Rebagliati, plus 48 at Alcántara Butterfield and 10 at Luis Negreiros Vega.
- Relatives of oncology patients at Guillermo Almenara and Rebagliati reported missing chemotherapy and hormonal drugs, a radiotherapy machine out of service for about three months and long waits for imaging and specialist appointments.
