Washoe County Judge Bridget Robb to Retire, Withdraw From Election After Protective Order

A Feb. 13 hearing is scheduled on the temporary protective order.

Overview

  • Chief Judge Egan Walker removed Robb from all cases and assignments after the order was granted on Jan. 16, and the court opened an internal inquiry.
  • A temporary protective order alleging stalking was filed on Jan. 12 and approved four days later, with no criminal charges filed to date.
  • Robb said she will retire effective Feb. 6 and issued a statement requesting privacy while stepping away from her role and the campaign.
  • Her withdrawal leaves Judge Kathleen Sigurdson unopposed for the Department 10 seat that Robb had filed to challenge on Jan. 5.
  • Two attorneys, Alexander Morey and Lance White, filed for Robb’s Department 13 seat, and officials may either leave the seat vacant or seek candidates through the Nevada Commission on Judicial Selection for a potential gubernatorial appointment.
