Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Deathwatch Revealed as Sequel With Expanded Tactics

Revealed at Warhammer Skulls, the sequel expands tactical options with larger squad customization, new vehicles and a standalone Skirmish Mode while its release date remains unannounced.

  • Frontier Foundry and Complex Games announced Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Deathwatch at the Warhammer Skulls showcase on May 21–22, 2026 with a trailer and official press materials.
  • Players will take the role of Interrogator Bastian Rath commanding Deathwatch Space Marines to investigate a sector-level conspiracy in the Tyrian Expanse.
  • The game will ship to PC, Xbox Series X|S and PS5 and is being built for controller play from the start, according to Complex Games’ studio head Jonas Van Niekerk.
  • Design changes include broader class identity, larger squad customization, a Skirmish Mode for standalone battles, and new vehicles such as the Redemptor Dreadnought, Scout Sentinel and Leman Russ tank.
  • The campaign will pit players against seven distinct enemy factions, including Genestealer Hivecults, Orks, T’au and Chaos forces, and the studio has not yet provided a release date.
