Overview
- Digital Extremes launched Jade Shadows: Constellations as a free update on Wednesday, making the quest live across PC, consoles, and mobile for players who have completed The New War and the original Jade Shadows.
- The update adds Warframe’s 65th frame as a single two-in-one unit—Sirius and Orion—that players can swap between in combat and use a shared ultimate that pits both forms together for heavy damage.
- Players must choose between two new Protoframes, Ryoku (based on Ash) or Vena (based on Garuda), and that choice changes scenes, mission encounters, and faction rewards during the quest.
- Completing the quest unlocks new Railjack missions at the Uranus Proxima node where players pilot Protoframe-themed ships, recruit their chosen Protoframe as crew, earn timeline tokens for vendor rewards, and access five new Incarnon weapon upgrades and Styanax Prime.
- Digital Extremes says the Protoframes in Constellations serve as mentors and are not romanceable to prevent what it calls ‘Protoframe burnout,’ a live-ops strategy meant to keep future side stories and character types varied ahead of TennoCon.
