Warangal Tractor–School Bus Crash Kills Two, Injures 12

Police now attribute the collision to rash overtaking by the school bus driver, with a formal probe underway.

Two people, including a two-year-old, died in the crash at Srinagar crossroads in Parvathagiri mandal on Monday.
Twelve members of a family traveling in the tractor-trolley were injured and taken to Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital, police said.
The bus was carrying about 40 students; police said two children suffered serious injuries and the rest had minor wounds.
An earlier police brief cited preliminary findings alleging the tractor driver was intoxicated and speeding, but a senior officer later blamed the bus driver’s rash overtaking.
Rescue and traffic clearance were led by Parvathagiri police, a case has been registered, and investigators are examining the sequence of events.
