Overview
- Walt Disney Imagineering publicly introduced .YNSD on Tuesday as a new lifestyle apparel and accessories line conceived and created by a collective of Imagineers.
- The name .YNSD is pronounced “yen‑sid,” is a reversal of “Disney” without vowels, and intentionally nods to Yen Sid from Fantasia to signal lore-minded design.
- The launch comprises two initial collections: The Debut Collection of clean, versatile essentials and a Haunted Mansion Parlor–inspired line that reinterprets Victorian textiles with hidden ghostly motifs.
- Products use design-driven features such as custom trims, tonal embroidery, specialty finishes and photochromic inks that reveal hidden graphics in sunlight, and Disney says both collections will be available to shop first at D23 Expo (Aug. 14–16) with no wider retail rollout announced.
- The brand grows out of Mickey’s of Glendale and points to a broader shift in Disney merchandise toward adult, discovery-driven pieces that may reshape how fans buy park‑inspired apparel.
