- Walmart said it will upgrade 650 Supercenters and Neighborhood Markets and open about 20 more locations through early 2027.
- The company is shifting to a faster remodel method that closes a store’s main sales floor for about four weeks to finish the work at once.
- As the rollout begins, Walmart identified Neighborhood Markets in Pensacola, Bradenton, Deerfield Beach, Grovetown, Ladson, Prairieville, Sachse, Killeen, Edmond, and Norman for brief closures.
- Remodeled stores will add wider aisles, new digital touchpoints, expanded pickup and express delivery, refreshed signage and parking, and pharmacies and vision centers with private consultation rooms.
- Walmart highlighted app tools such as in-store maps, mobile checkout and refill features, and said its delivery network now reaches about 95 percent of U.S. households within three hours.
