Walls Shift as Walt Disney Studios Lot Nears Opening at Hollywood Studios

Construction walls in the former Animation Courtyard, which shifted Monday per BlogMickey, now create a wider, newly paved exit path from The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure.
New themed paint is up on the Magic of Disney Animation exterior, with a large blue Sorcerer Mickey hat planned for the roof.
Most of the area stays behind plywood as crews work toward the scheduled May 26, 2026 debut at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The centerpiece Magic of Disney Animation will return in the former Star Wars Launch Bay with six character meet-and-greets, Olaf-led drawing classes, and an Alice in Wonderland playground.
The lineup also features Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! in the old Disney Jr. space, while The Little Mermaid show keeps running during the build that began with last September’s closure.
