Volvo Unveils EX60 With 800-Volt Architecture and Up to 810 km WLTP Range

Volvo pitches the midsize EV as the cornerstone of its electrification strategy, with manufacturer figures to be validated in independent tests.

Overview

  • The EX60 debuts in three variants—P6 RWD, P10 AWD and P12 AWD—at 275, 375 and 500 kW respectively, with 83, 95 and 117 kWh batteries claiming up to 620, 660 and 810 km WLTP.
  • Volvo cites ultra-rapid charging on compatible high-power DC chargers: up to roughly 340 km added in 10 minutes and about 10–80% in around 20 minutes at peaks near 370 kW.
  • The SUV rides on the new SPA3 platform with Cell-to-Body battery integration, megacasting construction, an 800-volt system and Breathe Battery Technologies software to optimize charging.
  • Europe pricing is listed at €62,990 for P6, €65,990 for P10 AWD and €71,990 for P12, with all versions electronically limited to 180 km/h.
  • Volvo presented the model in January with a market start targeted for summer 2026, and it backs the pack with a battery warranty of up to ten years.
