Volvo UK Turns EX30 Into Fleet-Only Electric Cargo Van

The second-stage conversion gives UK fleets a faster path to electrify last-mile runs.

Overview

  • Volvo Car UK unveiled the EX30 Cargo on Wednesday, pricing it from £36,010 and selling it only through its fleet channel.
  • The conversion removes the rear seats for a flat load bay with about 1,000 litres of space and a 390 kg payload, plus a bulkhead, tougher panels, wider rear-door openings and a cargo light.
  • The second-stage process can be applied to new stock and existing EX30s across MY2026 and MY2027, with Core and Plus trims and a higher-riding Cross Country version.
  • Power choices mirror the SUV, spanning P3 and P5 single-motor setups and a P8 twin-motor AWD, with a MY27 P3 Extended Range rated by Volvo at up to roughly 300 miles.
  • Orders run through UK fleet sales only with deliveries due later this year, and coverage notes other markets have not been confirmed.
