Volvo Prices EX60 Below $60,000 and Opens U.S. Orders for New Mid‑Size EV

The Sweden‑built SUV includes a native NACS port, 800‑volt fast charging, Google Gemini software, over‑the‑air updates to sharpen Volvo's EV offering.

Overview

  • Volvo opened U.S. orders on Monday for the 2027 EX60 and posted official pricing that places the P6 entry model under $60,000.
  • The launch lineup offers three powertrain tiers with different battery sizes and ranges: the P6 (~307 miles), the P10 (~322 miles) and a forthcoming P12 that Volvo says can reach about 400 miles but has no U.S. price yet.
  • All EX60s use Volvo’s SPA3 800‑volt architecture for very fast DC charging, and the model is Volvo’s first with a native NACS port to access Tesla Superchargers without an adapter.
  • Production is underway at Volvo’s Torslanda plant in Gothenburg, Sweden, and the company says U.S. test drives will be scheduled later this summer with first customer deliveries expected soon after.
  • The EX60 launch is part of a wider Volvo push to stabilize its EV program by prioritizing software reliability, Gemini/Google integration and OTA updates while repositioning pricing to undercut some premium rivals.
