Overview
- Volkswagen India launched the refreshed Taigun on Tuesday with prices from Rs 10.99 lakh to Rs 19.29 lakh ex-showroom across 11 variants.
- The 1.0-litre TSI now offers an Aisin-sourced 8-speed torque-converter automatic, while the 1.5-litre TSI continues with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic and gains rear disc brakes on select trims.
- The update brings larger digital displays, a new infotainment system with voice control, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated power front seats, illuminated VW logos and a connected LED light bar, with six airbags standard.
- An assured buyback promises up to 75 percent of the ex-showroom price for up to three years or 30,000 km on bookings made by May 31, 2026.
- Dealers are clearing outgoing Taigun stock with reported discounts of up to about Rs 3 lakh in April, reflecting pressure in a segment led by the Creta, Seltos, Kushaq and other rivals.
