  • Roughly half of those EVs came from the Volkswagen brand, Audi accounts for about 870,000 and Porsche for roughly 250,000, and around three million were built on the MEB platform.
  • About two-thirds of the group’s BEVs have been delivered in Europe and about one-fifth in China, reflecting where demand has concentrated.
  • In Germany in February 2026, 211,262 new cars were registered, including 46,275 BEVs for a 21.9% share (+28.7% year over year), with the Škoda Elroq leading electric models at 3,406 registrations.
  • Denmark’s market reached 81.6% BEV share in February, with 94.4% of private buyers choosing electric cars, highlighting stark regional differences in adoption.
