Overview
- Volkswagen has confirmed the production ID. Cross will reach European showrooms in autumn 2026 with a starting price of €28,000.
- The model is offered with two battery options, 37 kWh and 52 kWh, and three front-wheel single-motor outputs that range from 114 hp to 208 hp.
- Volkswagen projects WLTP ranges of about 316 km (196 miles) for the 37 kWh pack and 436 km (271 miles) for the 52 kWh pack.
- Charging capability is rated at up to 90 kW for the smaller battery and 105 kW for the larger one, with a 10–80% top-up taking about 24 minutes under ideal conditions and vehicle-to-load function included.
- Built on the MEB+ platform, the ID. Cross uses compact packaging to offer 475 liters of luggage space plus a 25-liter frunk and a cabin with a 12.9-inch screen, physical buttons and optional premium equipment to position it against rivals such as the Kia EV2 and Renault 4.
