  • Jonas Vingegaard took Stage 5 with a 21-kilometer solo launched on the Saint-Jean-de-Muzols climb, finishing at Colombier-le-Vieux.
  • He won the 206.3km stage by 2:02 over Valentin Paret-Peintre, with Harold Tejada third at 2:20 after the chase group rolled in 18 seconds later.
  • The overall lead now stands at 3 minutes 22 seconds over Dani Martinez after back-to-back stage victories.
  • Vingegaard seized the yellow jersey on a rain-lashed Stage 4 to Uchon, as crashes and splits forced out contenders including Juan Ayuso and Brandon McNulty.
  • Paris–Nice continues Friday with a 179.3km hilly Stage 6 from Barentane to Apt, with the race set to finish in Nice on Sunday as Vingegaard targets the overall and builds toward a Giro–Tour campaign.
