Overview
- Vijay took the oath in Chennai on Sunday, with Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar administering it as nine TVK ministers joined his first cabinet.
- TVK won 108 seats and secured formal letters of support from Congress, CPI, CPI(M), VCK and IUML, taking the group to about 120 MLAs.
- The Governor set a confidence vote deadline of May 13, which will test the outside support pledged by several partners.
