Overview
- Organizers staged the inaugural Concurso de Piano Vigo Junior at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Vigo on 7–8 August 2026, with semifinals at the O Castro center and a final the following day.
- The contest covers five age categories for pianists aged 7 to 19 and awards one winner per category plus special prizes for best Spanish or Galician work, best international talent, best Galician talent and an audience prize.
- Roughly fifty young pianists took part in the first Vigo Junior and its category winners will perform in the festival program alongside headline artists.
