Overview
- Vietnam Airlines, which launched the service on 16 June, operated inaugural flight VN83 from Noi Bai to Schiphol carrying nearly 300 passengers on an Airbus A350.
- The carrier will run three round trips weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays using A350 aircraft configured with business, premium economy and economy cabins.
- By routing through Amsterdam Schiphol, the service gives passengers single-connection access across Europe but offers less schedule flexibility than daily services from larger Southeast Asian hubs.
- Vietnam Airlines said the link is intended to boost trade and tourism between Vietnam and the Netherlands and to strengthen its broader European network.
- The Amsterdam launch adds to Vietnam Airlines’ European expansion as the airline prepares to raise Hanoi–Moscow frequency to four weekly flights from 1 July and to operate 12 nonstop routes to eight European cities.
