Video Points to Signal Violation in Richmond Crash Involving KSP Cruiser

Overview
- Kentucky State Police were notified just before 7:15 a.m. Thursday of a two-vehicle collision on Lexington Road near the I-75 exit 90 overpass in Madison County.
- The crash involved a marked KSP patrol vehicle driven by Trooper Albert LaGrange and a 2014 silver Chevrolet Malibu driven by 24-year-old Taijua Robinson of Richmond.
- KSP says video shows the cruiser approached with a green signal as the Chevrolet entered the intersection after disregarding a traffic control device.
- Both drivers were transported for treatment of possible minor injuries, with Robinson taken to UK Albert B. Chandler Hospital and LaGrange to Baptist Health Richmond.
- The collision remains under investigation, and Richmond Police, Madison County EMS, and the Richmond City Fire Department assisted at the scene.
