Overview
- Two Sunbury men, aged 34 and 35, were remanded on more than 60 charges and are due at Sunshine Magistrates' Court on March 3.
- Two Wildwood men were charged with handling stolen goods and were bailed to appear at court at a later date.
- Search warrants on February 3, 16 and 17 across Wildwood, Melton, Ascot Vale, Sunbury and Craigieburn recovered 21 vehicles including a Bobcat, tow truck, minibus, a custom Holden Caprice, a Toyota HiLux, a Ford Ranger, trailers and motorcycles.
- Investigators seized multiple key‑reprogramming devices, sets of keys, false and stolen plates, tools, about $3,800 in cash, small quantities of drugs and other evidence.
- Police say the group targeted vehicles in public car parks, on streets and at businesses across suburbs including Coolaroo, Footscray, Gisborne, Derrimut, Deer Park, Diggers Rest, Port Melbourne, Thomastown and Tullamarine, and they urge owners to use OBD port locks and other deterrents.
