Victim Identified in Montgomery Weekend Homicide as Police Continue Probe

Police have asked the public to provide tips because investigators have not named suspects or released a motive.

Police found 20-year-old Michael Hill with fatal gunshot wounds in the 4200 block of Amherst Drive on Sunday, July 26, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers discovered a separate fatal shooting the next day in the 500 block of Woodbrook Drive that left 62-year-old Alan Griffin dead, marking a second homicide within about 24 hours.
Montgomery Police Department spokeswoman Lt. Tina McGriff said the cases are under active investigation and that officials have not released information about suspects or a motive.
