- Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan inaugurated the two-day orientation at the BIPARD campus in Gaya on Saturday, July 11.
- The programme is designed to familiarise newly elected and returning members of the 18th Bihar Legislative Assembly with Assembly rules, parliamentary conventions and effective participation in House proceedings.
- Radhakrishnan urged legislators to prioritise job creation to curb out-migration and said Bihar's progress is indispensable to achieving a developed India.
- Senior state leaders including Governor Syed Ata Hasnain, Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, Speaker Prem Kumar and Council Chairman Awadhesh Narain Singh attended the inauguration.
- Gaya district authorities deployed extra security, traffic plans and a temporary police station near the BIPARD campus after an inspection by Gaya City DSP Dharmendra Bharti, a step meant to ensure smooth conduct of the programme and uninterrupted legislative training.
